THE LAURENCE DILSNER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

ELIGIBILITY: A high school senior or a college student pursuing a career
                    in teaching choral and classroom music. Background might
                    include piano accompanying, conducting or student teaching
                    of choral groups in school, community church or synagogue,
                    or experience in student teaching of high school or college
                    music classes. Sightreading ability is required. We will
                    request a personal statement describing the applicant's
                    interest and experience.

REPERTOIRE:  Students will be asked to conduct, sight-sing, sight-read
                   a piano accompaniment, and transpose a simple melody.
                   The student will also play two contrasting piano pieces
                   of the student's choosing.

AUDITION/INTERVIEW TIME ALLOTMENT: 30 minutes
